One of the market’s most expensive smartphones. Apple’s flagship which is released in 2018 is a luxury phone for people who are willing to spend extra for their phones. It’s also pronounced as iPhone “Ten”, mark the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone. Apple made this anniversary very special by releasing this phone. They went all out to tell everyone in the world, they’re still the number one manufacturer for luxury gadgets.
But for people who care more about what’s on the inside of the phone rather than how it looks, will this phone be up to their standard? Especially considering the price, people must have expected to get the best smartphone in the world, technically speaking. Even more so since the past few years, Apple has received a lot of bad reviews from tech reviewers, even from their fanbase. The argument is that Apple is not selling gadgets but it’s selling its name or brand. So, there is a lot of pessimism regarding Apple’s products, but the thing is that Apple doesn’t shy away from releasing products with a premium price tag. So, that shows that Apple is still confident despite the criticisms.
Let’s see the inside of this phone.

iPhone X Design
The design is very elegant, with a 5.8in screen, it has the largest screen than any iPhones. The screen type is OLED, so you can expect the best image quality on the market. It covers the edges of the phone. No more home button but there is a notch on the top of the screen for Face ID camera. Volume and power buttons are still in the same positions as before and other buttons are on the sides of the phone. Face ID is a big feature of the X, it works smoothly with very little interaction.
The camera is a bit disappointing. It’s still a great camera but not enough to be the best camera in the market. Photo capture and video recording work flawlessly. High-resolution photos and 4k videos are not a problem at all. Portrait mode which is usually tricky to implement works with no hitch.
The display is pretty much what you expect from OLED. It’s sharp, bright and color accurate. It’s almost near perfect for a display.
iPhone X Performance
First, iPhone X Specification is often compared to its predecessor iPhone 8. And the result is a bit surprising. iPhone 8 is still going strong and even often favored over iPhone X.
That being said, Apple designed this phone to be the best iPhone ever created. The technology behind iPhone X is completely new and has been in development for years before the release date.
Performance-wise, it’s snappy and responsive. Bionic chips are awesome and complete with 3GB RAM, the benchmark results are top of the line. Still not a big leap from iPhone 8 though, the results are pretty much similar. Battery life shouldn’t be a problem during regular usage. During the video playback test, the iPhone lasted for 9 hours 22 minutes. That’s behind Android phones. iPhone 8 lasted longer at 13 hours 54 minutes.
iPhone X Price
We will give it to you straight, it’s difficult to say that anyone should buy a $1000 phone. Sure, iPhone X is the best iPhone ever created, but there is a point where you will get a diminishing return. An upgrade from $200 phone to $500 phone is really big, but from $500 to $1000 upgrade is debatable. iPhone X Specification is also not without flaws, there are a lot of mixed reviews regarding this phone.
There are a lot of good points to take from the X but there are things that make iPhone X not worth a buy, especially at $1000 for iPhone X Price. Apple also released the successor or some kind of iPhone X. but we will also point out that iPhone X marked a new beginning for smartphones especially for Apple products. (Review Smartphone)
