iPhone 8 Plus Design
Design-wise, as we said before it has an old iPhone model. iPhone 8 plus looks like iPhone 7 plus which looks like iPhone 6 plus. If appearance means a lot for you, iPhone 8 plus can’t give a lot to be happy with. The difference is that iPhone 8 Plus Specification has a glass back and the two-tone effect it creates. Other than that, there is zero difference between iPhone 8 plus and iPhone 7 plus. Even compared to some Android phones, iPhone 8 plus is behind in terms of innovation. Apple received a lot of flaks because of this. Probably due to iPhone X being released at the same time, Apple wanted to point out the end of an era with iPhone X and 8 plus. Anyway, the build quality is as good as always, it’s sturdy and can handle a lot of abuse. Apple claims it has the strongest reinforced glass on a smartphone. The ‘default’ look gives an impression of a strong build.
We also understand that the bezel design might be a big turnoff for some people, especially after seeing what the new iPhones look like. Unlocking the phone can be done by using a Touch ID fingerprint, unlike iPhone X or XS using Face ID. We don’t know Apple decided to give the consumers max 256GB of storage. Considering how big some apps or games can be nowadays and we are pretty sure some people will be glad to pay more for more storage, mainly 512GB. That being said most users might feel content with even 64GB. But if you’re planning to take advantage of the 4K 60FPS video recording, you want more storage to store the videos.
iPhone 8 Plus Performance
A11 Bionic engine is fantastic. Sure, it’s not A12 but it already performs at fantastic speed. 6 cores, 2 cores doing basic stuff and 4 cores doing heavy duties. You can pretty much do anything you want with iPhone 8 plus and won’t encounter any kind of problems. For advanced users, this is a big deal. A deciding factor even. The slightly bad news is that it isn’t that much of an improvement from the iPhone 7 Plus. In some tasks, iPhone 7 plus performs better than the iPhone 8 plus. In Geekbench. iPhone 8 Plus scores a staggering 10.000 score for the multi-core performance. That’s is impressive even for 2019 standard. Like we said, regular users might not even notice the differences between this and some older phones, but for advanced users, this is a great thing.
The camera is great and versatile. Portrait Lighting performs almost flawlessly in most cases. We don’t think that you will encounter any problems with taking pictures. The camera able to take pictures with high fidelity and image details no matter the ambient lighting conditions. Taking pictures is fast and snappy. Screen size is bigger than iPhone 8 obviously, so more screen real estate. But no OLED yet for iPhone 8 Plus Specification. OLED only comes with iPhone X. It’s still great for most people. Sharpness, brightness and color accuracy are definitely on par among other similar phones. Compared to the iPhone 7, the camera is a big upgrade. A lot of tweaks and improvements for the camera are noticeable. If a better camera is what you’re looking for, iPhone 8 Plus is better than iPhone 7 Plus.
iPhone 8 Plus Price
The good news is iPhone 8 plus is getting cheaper and cheaper with newer iPhones getting released. It’s cost $699 for 64 GB and $849 for 256GB. A lot of people don’t want to spend a thousand dollars on the newest smartphones released by Apple. Getting iPhone 8 Plus might be the great value that they’re looking for. (Review Smartphone)
